Stephen Gorman

Co-founder / Chief Executive Officer

With over 25 years of experience in the finance industry, Stephen is our CEO and has worked in both Australia and the UK, holding senior roles in sales, distribution, credit and operations at a Big 4 ASX-listed financial institution. He also served as the Chief Credit Officer for a mid-tier ASX-listed firm.

Stephen has experience in providing lending solutions to business and corporate clients, financial institutions, large superannuation funds and family offices. His expertise includes lending for industrial and commercial portfolios, large residential developments, suburban townhouse projects and major CBD buildings.

From 2018 to 2023, Stephen was the Chief Risk Officer for a prominent non-bank lender, overseeing risk appetite, credit frameworks and lending decisions while also serving as a Responsible Manager under their Australian Credit Licence and Australian Financial Services Licence.

Stephen is a Graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors (GAICD) and also holds a Bachelor of Business (Banking and Finance) from the University of South Australia and a Master of Applied Finance from Charles Sturt University. Stephen is a Fellow of FINSIA having been a member of the professional not-for-profit industry body for financial services for over 25 years.

Jim Sarris

Co-founder / Chief Customer Officer

Jim is a seasoned executive with over 25 years of experience in the banking and finance sector, having held senior roles in both ASX-listed and international financial institutions. His expertise spans retail and commercial banking, particularly in property finance. Notably, he was part of the founding team that secured an Australian banking license for a Europe-based bank.

Throughout his career, Jim has been marked by an exceptional ability to foster long-term relationships with clients, particularly high-net-worth families, helping them achieve their financial goals across generations. 

His leadership has driven significant business outcomes, including revenue growth, enhanced profitability and effective risk management in competitive markets, as well as business transformations, all of which have resulted in optimised processes, improved customer experiences and exceptional financial performance. A client-centric professional, Jim prioritises the development of strong customer relationships, ensuring that every transaction delivers beneficial outcomes. 

Jim holds a Bachelor of Business (Banking and Finance) and a Bachelor of Business (Accounting) from Monash University.
